About Jason

Originally from Yorkshire, I am a Qi Gong Instructor and meditation teacher.

My teaching is informed by over 30 years of metaphysical exploration and 15 years spent in Asia, studying and practicing many forms of healing arts and meditation. These include Qi Gong, Nei Nei Gong, Kriya Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, Advaita Vedanta, Ayurvedic Massage, Acupressure, Thai Massage, Japanese Reiki, Kikko, Zen Buddhism, and Vipassana.

In 2012, after a month in the Kriya Yoga ashram in Rishikesh, I happened across a Dharma teacher, the late Da Dennis Trisker. Within ten minutes of meeting Dennis, time and space conspired to enable transmission of the Dharma. I returned from this first long Samadhi to find myself sitting in a restaurant, uncontrollably laughing, and seeing a tree for the first time, although there was nobody to know that it was a tree.

This first long Samadhi freed my mind in a way that I am still coming to terms with, over ten years later. The state does still arise here and there, unannounced, and it has left permanent changes to me. For more information on this, please read my page on Meditation.

I have been teaching Qi Gong and Energy Work for 12 years, and Meditation for five years. The insight gained from emptiness helps me demystify mysticism and gives a depth to my teaching.

I find Qi Gong to be a perfect vehicle for Wu Wei, or effortless action. By learning effortlessness in the physical dimension, we open ourselves to effortlessness in the mental dimension. It is by sitting in this state of mental effortlessness that Samadhi can arise.

I am also an industrial electrician and have experience as a college tutor. I have taught in a variety of settings, from the beaches of Goa, to the Himalayas, to the church halls of Yorkshire, to students of all different backgrounds.
